Sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes contain root storage proteins which makes them a great antioxidant. They are a very good source of vitamin A, vitamin C and manganese, and a source of copper, dietary fiber, vitamin B6, potassium and iron. Their anti-inflammatory properties are helpful in reducing the severity of conditions such as asthma, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. They can also help to protect against atherosclerosis, diabetic heart disease and colon cancer.
